10" Sleeping Buddha Figurine Brass Buddha Statue India

The Buddha is resting on his side with His long slender hand holding up His head with eyes closed. The statue is fully over a big lotus podium. His left hand is kept in a resting position over left thigh. While the curly hair and the elongated ears are delicately taken care of the artisans.

The Buddha did not deny existing religious knowledge or speak against the prevalent Hindu way of life. He spoke only of what had been revealed to him. He addresses his followers in the local language, one that they could understand: Pali. He traveled along the north-eastern Gangetic plain preaching his doctrine and the need for discipline.
